2017 Lincoln Town Car News, Review

The Lincoln Town Car is a complete-size luxury sedan that shares most of its architectural aspects with the Crown Victoria car model. Four years ago, production of this car model was stopped because it couldn’t find its place within the contemporary sedan market. However, there are plans to bring the 2017 Lincoln Town Car back for the 2017 model year as a brand new model sharing very few similarities with its predecessor. The reformatting of this Lincoln brand was announced by Ford’s top executives during the Los Angeles auto show.

Expect the upcoming 2017 Lincoln Town Car to be built upon a new platform while featuring noticeable changes on its exterior design. LED lights should make an entry, just as with most of today’s generation of vehicles. Additionally, it will have an aggressive bumper at the front end, not forgetting the Lincoln Town car classic split wing grille. Such changes should improve its overall body shape and result in better aerodynamics. The only weak point in its exterior design is in the unprotected cable harness found near its front wheel arches

The 2017 Lincoln Town Car visual and tech modifications were not constricted to its outer body as several modifications were made inside as well. Starting with the seating plan, this vehicle will have leather-furnished seats and more leg/headroom for better posture. Most of this car’s interior is furnished with soft fabrics giving this sedan a luxurious touch, which is really valued in Lincoln cars. Giving this Lincoln Town car the advantage over its competitors will be its state-of-the-art tech features which include an exceptional sound system, automatic air-conditioning, a LCD touch screen, rear parking sensing units, Cruise control and Satellite navigation.

Under its hood, the 2017 Lincoln Town Car will come with only one engine option, a 2.7 l twin turbocharged Eco Boost V-6 that is expected to offer excellent overall power and fuel economy. This unit will be capable of producing up to 350 horse power and a peak torque of more than 370 lb. feet. This engine will be mated to a 9 speed automatic transmission and Ford’s brand new AWD system. In as far as goes, the efficiency of the 2017 Lincoln Town car, it’s fairly gratifying, taking around six seconds to rise from 0 to 60 mph, with the top speed standing at 130 mph.

The 2017 Lincoln Town car is scheduled to be released in late this year or early next year at a price range of $26,000 up to $28,000.
